Dear Stakeholders,

We measure the value of our company not only through the quality of our wines or our financial results, but also through our ability to regenerate the natural and social capital that generated it.
From this perspective, the fourth edition of the Herita Marzotto Wine Estate Sustainability Report represents not only an example of transparency, but also testament to a strategic vision in which ESG factors are an integral part of our identity.

2024 marked a key milestone in our climate roadmap: achieving carbon neutrality. This milestone is the result of a rigorous process, including direct investments in reducing emissions along the supply chain and support for major offset projects capable of generating tangible benefits for both the environment and the communities involved.

This result is closely linked to the choices that guide our agricultural management. Our relationship with the land, which we consider the company’s essential and primary asset, is accompanied by a responsibility to the people who live on it and make it productive every day. For us, sustainability is not a secondary objective, but an operational prerequisite: our entire winemaking heritage is managed according to certified standards (Organic, SQNPI, Biodiversity Friend); we prioritize energy from renewable sources, self-generated where possible, through biomass, photovoltaic, and geothermal
systems; we have initiated a process to reduce the weight of our bottles, in order to use fewer raw materials and less energy in their production; we are committed to reducing freshwater waste, both in the vineyard and in the cellar; we use FSC or PEFC-certified paper and cardboard packaging. 

All these best practices, already implemented and extensively tested, have contributed to the achievement of a highly gratifying milestone for us: Herita Marzotto Wine Estates took the top spot of the podium at the 2025 Sustainability Award, an award aimed at recognizing pioneering commitment and leadership in the Italian sustainability landscape. 

The progressive completion of the EQUALITAS protocol at Group level will further strengthen the solidity of our environmental and social governance, promoting fair working conditions, safety, and local development. 

Supporting this commitment means honoring a vision that began over 90 years ago. Today, we develop it through the intelligent use of resources, confident that the integration of artisanal expertise and technical innovation is the only way to ensure a lasting balance between business and nature. 

Change is a constant for us, and we face it with the same determination as those who came before us, certain that our every daily action is an investment in future generations.
